On October 13, 2017, Clayton County Deputies arrested 22 year old Jager Beck of Elkader on a Clayton County Warrant for Sexual Abuse 3rd Degree and Probation Violation. Beck was transported to the Clayton County Jail where he is being held on $20,000 bond.

On October 13, 2017, Clayton County Deputies arrested 54 year old Teresa Fuller of Postville on a Clayton County Warrant for Failure to Appear. Fuller was transported to the Clayton County Jail where she was held pending an appearance in Magistrate Court.

On October 13, 2017 at 7:30pm, Clayton County Deputies were dispatched to a traffic complaint on Highway 52 North of Guttenberg. Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Buck Creek Road near Garnavillo. Upon further investigation, Deputies located marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Deputies also located prescription pills on a 17 year old Juvenile’s person. Deputies arrested 18 year old Nathanael Litka of Dubuque for possession of a controlled substance- marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The juvenile will be referred to the Juvenile Courts for unlawful possession of a prescription medication.

On October 18, 2017 at 8:00am, Clayton County Deputies were dispatched to a one vehicle accident on Glider Road near Farmersburg. Upon further investigation it was determined that Blake Walleser of Farmersburg was operating a 2003 Ford F150 when he lost control at the crest of a hill. Walleser’s vehicle entered the ditch and rolled three time before coming to rest causing $10,000 damage. Walleser was cited for failure to maintain control. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Saint Olaf Fire Department, Farmersburg First Responders and Fire Department and the Monona Ambulance.

On October 21, 2017 at 11:47pm, Clayton County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Pleasant Ridge Road near Marquette for a traffic violation. Deputies came into contact with 27 year old Bobby Lacheta of Prairie Du Chien. Deputies observed signed of impairment. Deputies performed field sobriety testing on Lacheta. Upon further investigation, Lacheta was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated. Deputies also located marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Lacheta was transported to the Clayton County Jail where he was charged with Operating While Intoxicated, Possession of a controlled substance-marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On October 22, 2017, Clayton County Deputies arrested 38 year old Brian Sproston of Indianola on a Clayton County Warrant for failure to appear. Sproston was transported to the Clayton County Jail where he is being held on $1,000 bond.

On October 23, 2017 at 7:14am, Clayton County Deputies were dispatched to a car vs. deer accident on Highway 128 near Elkader. Upon further investigation it was determined that David Koehn of Elkader was operating a 1972 Chevrolet when he struck a deer causing $7,000 damage. No injuries were reported.

On October 24, 2017, Clayton County Deputies arrested 26 year old Brittany Piper of West Union on a Clayton County Warrant for Probation Violation. Piper was transported to the Clayton County Jail where she is being held on $1,000 bond.

On October 24, 2017 at 6:26am, Clayton County Deputies were dispatched to a car vs. deer accident on the Great River Road near Guttenberg. Upon further investigation it was determined that Grace McGuine of Guttenberg was operating a 2012 Toyota Sienna when she struck a deer causing $3,000 damage. No injuries were reported.

On October 24, 2017 at 8:50am, Clayton County Deputies were dispatched to a car vs. deer accident on Garber Road near Garber. Upon further investigation it was determined that Robert Riniker of Greeley was operating a 2000 Honda Civic when he struck a deer causing $2,000 damage. No injuries were reported.

On October 25, 2017, 32 year old Derek Schroeder of Clermont turned himself into the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office on a Clayton County Warrant for Operating While Intoxicated-2nd Offense. Schroeder posted a $250 bond and was released on a promise to appear in court.
